This site is dedicated to John William Russell and Muriel Florence Kathleen Wadey
The Russell family was from Lockerley in Hampshire. By the time of his marriage to Elizabeth Warren in 1802, William Russell had moved to Arreton on the Isle of Wight. He was a woodman as were 3 of his sons. It is thought that the first services of the Langbridge Congregational Church were held in the home of Cornelius Russell at Mousehole in Newchurch. There are a lot of Isle of Wight families on this site.
John Funnell was a shepherd in Laughton, Sussex.
The Wadey family was from Sussex and Surrey. Peter Wadey was a builder in Southwark, Surrey.
The Wall family was from Royston, Hertfordshire. William Wall and his son Frederick were both hairdressers.
I have now added a blog where I will post information about site updates, and anything else I find interesting. There is a link at the top of each page and you can also leave comments there.
