Transcript of the Will of William Rowland
In the name of God Amen I William Rowland of the Parish of Naunton in the County of Glocester Taylor being of perfect mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of the body and that it is appointed for all men once to Die and after Death the Judgement. Do make and ordain this as my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say. I give to my son in law Henry Collett during his natural life all that House outhouse and Garden situate at Naunton and now rented by Wm Chandler and at his Death to his son Henry Collett. I give to my grandaughter Sophia Norton all that House Garden and Outhouse situate at Notgrove and now rented by Wm Ryland. I give to my grandaughter Mary Collett all that House outhouse and Garden situate at Notgrove now rented by James Winstone. I give to my grandson Robert Collett that House and all thereto belonging situate at Notgrove and now rented by John Bayliss. I give to my Grandson Richard Collett and my grandaughters Hanah Collett, Jane Collett, Sarah Collett and Eliza Collett Five pounds to be equally divided between them out of the money belonging to me in the Naunton Friendly Society and to be paid by my Executor. I give to my son Wm Rowland all that House and Garden where he now lives at Lower Slaughter. I Give to my son John Rowlands all that House now rented by John Dunce outhouse and shop and the House now Occupied by John Coling and I likewise give to my son John Rowlands all that orchard below the House. I give to my son Robert Rowlands all that House I now live in and the Shop and Outhouse and all thereto belonging and also that House adjoining now rented by Job Parker and two parts out of three of that Garden at the top of Colts Lane on paying my Daughter Elisabeth Reynolds one pound per year during her natural life. I give to my Daughter Elisabeth Reynolds and her Heirs all that House now rented by Henry Hamlett and that part of the Garden at the top of Colts Lane now rented with the house and likewise my feather Bed and Bolster and Bedstead and Hangings. I give to my son Joseph Rowlands all that House he now lives in and the Orchard or Garden below the House and likewise the House and Garden now rented by Solomon Stiles and all my Wearing Aparael of all Sorts. My son Wm Rowlands my son John Rowlands and my son Joseph Rowlands to pay one pound each towards the expence of proving this my Will. And I hereby Appoint my son Robert Rowlands my Whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. And I Appoint Mr Edward Wood of the Folly Farm and Mr John Wood of Cold Aston as Trustees to see that this my Will is properly Executed and Fulfilled. And I hereby disallow and revoke any Will by me at any time heretofore made and Confirm this and no other to be my last Will and Testament as Witness my Hand and Seal this thirty first Day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighteen
