Transcript of the Will of Robert Rowlands
In the name of God Amen, the 21 Day of April 1784
I Robert Rowlands in the parish of Naunton, in the County of Gloucester Tailor, being in perfect mind and memory, thanks be to God for it, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once, to Die, Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say, principally and first of all, I Give and Recommend my soul into the hands of almighty God that Gave it, and my body I Recommend it to the Earth to be buried in Decent Christian burial at the Discretion of my Executor, nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall Receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching my worldly Estate. I make and Ordain my Son William Rowlands in the parish affore said tailor, my Whole & sole Executor to pay my Just Debts and to Receive all Due to me and to order my burial at his Discretion, and I Give to my son Robert Rowlands 2s 6d and I give to my Grand Daughter Mary Willis 1s and I Give to my Grand Daughter Sarah Pinchon my tea kettle and I Give to my Grand Son Robert Pinchon I Shillin. I Ratify & Confirm this my last Will & Testament in Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the Day and the year above written
